Martha Schwartz is a tenured Professor in Practice of Landscape Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. A landscape architect and artist for over 30 years, Schwartz teaches a core studio and design studios focusing on artistic expression in the landscape. Her option studios have included:

Most recently, Martha has been running "Generative Ecologies: Urban Revitalization through Landscape in the Edesseos River Valley" — a project for which she has been tasked with advising the Mayor of Edessa, Greece on a master plan and development strategy for Edessa Town which could be used to attract investors and developers to the area, famous for its many waterfalls and greenery. The overall objective was to address sustainability at the environmental level and propose developments that enhance nature and take into account the well-being of future generations.
