Martha Schwartz Partners proudly invites you to visit the Working Group for Sustainable Cities at Harvard University (WGSC), an interdisciplinary initiative housed at the Harvard University Center for the Environment. Founded in 2008 by Harvard University Graduate School of Design Professor Martha Schwartz to tackle the problem of sustainability at a workable city-scale, the WGSC extends Ms. Schwartz’s professional practice of landscape architecture to all aspects of what makes a city livable.

Ms. Schwartz has convened a group of over a dozen Harvard University professors, representing nine of Harvard's professional schools, and five notable members of industry practice who offer expertise in public policy, planning, and law; medicine and public health; history, culture, and faith; business and corporate responsibility; as well as landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design.
